Idaho Pride adoption and foster trainingWhat is PRIDE training?

  • A 27-hour training and assessment period designed to provide potential foster and adoptive families with information and skills essential to caring for children in foster care.
  • Part of becoming a licensed foster family.
  • Part of the adoption home study process.
  • All adults in the household must complete PRIDE.

 

How do I register?

  • If you are in process for becoming an adoptive or foster parent, you can sign up for PRIDE training at your local Idaho Department of Health and Welfare’s Children and Family Services office. Call 2-1-1 or 1-800-926-2588 to get the contact information for your local office. This training is free, but space is limited.
  • You can also check out the PRIDE training available through the Idaho Wednesday's Child Website.
  • Space is limited, so register early!
